Information about your options in the event of an unwanted pregnancy.

Take your time

Whatever you choose, it’s okay. Whether you are very unsure, or have already made your choice quickly. The important thing is that you take the time you need to make the choice that suits your situation.

At Mildred Clinics, we listen to you without judgment. We can also offer you support and accurate information. It’s your body, your decision.

What choices do you have?

In addition to terminating the pregnancy, there are other options available. Such as parenting yourself, adoption or foster care. Are you unsure which choice to make? Or do you really not know what to do? There are many choice help organizations that can support you with this, please visit www.infopuntonbedoeldzwanger.nl.

Abortion as a possible choice

Do you choose to terminate your pregnancy? Then we at Mildred Clinics offer professional and safe abortion care. Abortion treatment at Mildred Clinics is possible from 5 to 18 weeks of pregnancy. Which treatment is possible depends in part on how long you have been pregnant. Take the decision aid test to find out which treatment is right for you.

Several treatments are available:

Intake interview

When you come to us for an appointment, you will first have an intake interview. An ultrasound will be taken to determine if and how long you are pregnant. This way we know what treatment options are available to you. You can choose whether you want to be present during the ultrasound.

You then discuss with the doctor, and often a nurse, your situation and your treatment options. In this way we will see if the treatment you want fits your medication and medical history. We can also advise you on contraception.

You may of course bring your (former) partner or a companion, but there is always a moment in this conversation when we speak to you alone.

Doubt

The intake interview does not always mean that you already know exactly what you want with the pregnancy. Doubt is quite normal. And there is plenty of room for that. There is no right or wrong choice. Only the decision that seems best to you at the moment.

On our page Frequently Asked Questions you will find answers to many questions you may have before, during and after abortion treatment. Of course, you can always contact us to discuss your question in person.
