Information for referrers
At Mildred Clinics, we are here for women who are unplanned pregnant. For a free consultation or abortion treatment. Do you have a patient or client in need of abortion care? Your patient/client can come to us up to 18 weeks of pregnancy.
Referral Letter
Would you like to refer a patient? Then download the referral form. A patient can also make an appointment on their own. Is special care needed, or important medical history? It is nice if you include this information.

Cost
Does your patient live or work in the Netherlands? Then the cost of an abortion will be fully reimbursed based on the Long-Term Care Act. Ask your patient to bring valid identification and insurance card. The health insurance company will not be informed and the treatment will not be at the expense of the deductible.
Does your patient not have valid residence papers or is your patient temporarily in the Netherlands? Then the costs are the patient’s own.
After treatment
Are you a (family) physician? Your patient will receive, after treatment, a letter from us. We recommend sharing this with you, but your patient is not obligated to do so. You will not receive active feedback from us, even after a referral.
After suction or instrumental treatment, your patient will be given a short course of antibiotics by us, which should be started the same day.
Does your patient have any symptoms after treatment? Such as excessive bleeding or fever? If so, we advise the patient to contact you, or our clinic.
