After an abortion, you are immediately fertile again. That means you can get pregnant. By using birth control, you can prevent pregnancy.
Which contraception is right for me?

Contraception in the clinic
Are you being treated at our clinic? We offer several contraceptive options.
- Would you like to have an IUD or hormone rod placed after suction or instrumental treatment? If so, we can usually place this during treatment.
- Do you want to get an IUD or hormone rod after abortion pill treatment? Then we can do this at the follow-up check after 4-6 weeks. For this you make a separate appointment.
- Is a prescription needed, for example, for the birth control pill? Our doctor can make these for you. This allows you to go directly to your own pharmacy.
Cost
